Tony Hall: "I supervised one record date (1954) with the Tony Hall All-Stars. I used to gather some of the wild guys like Phil Seamen, Joe Temperley and Dizzy Reece - not the usual safe players - and we'd do a gig at a club. I blagged gigs for these assorted groups at all sort of spots including the Festival Hall. We would be a supporting band to the main attraction..."
